Ryosho opened in January of 2022 and it took less than a year for it to receive 2 Michelin stars.
The name “Ryosho『凌霄』” is defined as “having high ambitions”. Having perfected the art of Japanese cuisine after many long years of training at various notable restaurants, Chef Makoto Fujiwara’s ambition is to provide the most memorable dining experiece to all that grace his counter. Chef Fujiwara’s dishes are paired together with a selection of amazing wines and Japanese sakes to create a perfect marriage of food and drink which leaves guests astonished.
The ambitious dishes and classy interior of the restaurant live up to the high standards of Kyoto Gion and Ryosho is now a hard-to-book restaurant where hopeful diners cannot wait to get a booking at.
