Chef Masami Tanaka honed his skills at traditional Japanese cooking for 16 years under the roof of the historical Osaka Tsuruya and , thus creating a rare style of traditional Japanese cuisine with Tempura as its main dish.
After an array of classy Japanese cuisine dishes, the white sesame oil fried Tempura dishes which follow are not only amazingly light and crisp, yet also full of flavor and taste. The vegetable Tempura in particular retain the natural sweetness of its ingredients.
The interior of Konoha centers around the main counter and is surrounded by a warm ambiance in which guests can relax and enjoy the elegant movements of Chef Tanaka as he masterfully prepares the dishes.
Younger children are also allowed in the semi-private room during lunch hours on Saturdays.
Enjoy this rare style of Washoku which was awarded a Michelin star by combining traditional Japanese cuisine with Tempura at Kohoha.
