Nishino is a traditional Japanese cuisine restaurant located in the business district of Higobashi in Osaka.

The owner Chef Nishino grew up in a sushi restaurant in his hometown of Sakai, Osaka. He spent a year learning at his family’s restaurant after graduating from university, before honing his skills at the Michelin three-starred restaurant Tai An where he learned everything from serving techniques at a counter setting, cleaning, welcoming guests, food preparation and cooking, to overall restaurant management.
He then concluded his training at the Michelin one-starred Ajikitcho where he fully mastered the techniques of traditional Japanese cuisine and the concepts of Hassun appetizers.

Chef Nishino thus mastered all the fundamentals of Japanese cuisine and now creates dishes which are not only delicious on the palate, but also offers a deep culinary experience which engages all five senses.
He approaches his craft with sincerity and places an emphasis on the teachings of the the great chefs he studied under, who all emphasized the importance of balance in cooking. This is reflected in his cuisine which offers a gentle yet deep flavors which permeates the body. His dishes are those which one can enjoy day after day without ever growing tired of.

There are eight seats at the counter of the restaurant which is filled with a serene ambiance. The chairs were handpicked by the proprietress, who previously worked in interior design at Cassina.

Its is truly a space where guests enjoy their meal in relaxation and while enjoying the warm hospitality of the chef and proprietress. This Japanese restaurant is a must-visit for those who value their time of savoring Japanese cuisine.
