In Japan, the casual term for “friends” or “close friends” is Dachi, and “natural” or “unpretentious” is expressed as Su.
Together, they define Sudachi: a place where you’ll want to bring your friends and enjoy a relaxed, unassuming atmosphere.
At the helm of the kitchen is Executive Chef Shogo Imai, who was born into a family which operated a Japanese restaurant. With extensive training in Japanese cuisine and sushi, Chef Imai masterfully upholds the essence of traditional Japanese culinary techniques.
Like its flagship restaurant La Bombance in Nishi-Azabu, Sudachi uses fresh, seasonal ingredients to craft inventive course meals. These dishes might include sushi alongside unique touches like foie gras or truffles, ingredients rarely seen in Japanese cuisine, bringing a playful twist to the dining experience.
Sudachi also stands out for its exceptional selection of rare Japanese sake. This remarkable lineup is the result of trust and collaboration between chefs and sake brewers. Guests can even enjoy sake pairings served progressively, much like wine, to complement each dish; don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations!
You can immerse yourself in the lively energy of the chefs at the kappo-style counter, where the open kitchen takes center stage. Alternatively savor a more private experience at semi-private table seating.
Whether you visit with your closest Dachi or your family, the restaurant offers a warm and inviting space for all occasions.
