100 years ago, the founder of Yoshizawa dedicated himself to establishing the Matsusaka beef brand.
As vice-chair of the Matsusaka Beef Cattle Association, he laid the foundation for Matsusaka beef distribution, making an irreplaceable impact on its development. Today, Yoshizawa stands as one of only two Tokyo-based companies, among 15 nationwide, that directly supply meat to butchers.
At Japan’s largest meat market, the Tokyo Meat Market, the owner of Yoshizawa personally selects only the finest female cattle, renowned for their tender meat and rich marbling. This expert eye for quality ensures that only the best beef reaches our guests in the restaurant.
Yoshizawa has now opened a building featuring two dining experiences in Tokyo’s Ginza district: ‘Nikudokoro’ on the 2nd floor, where guests can enjoy sukiyaki and shabu-shabu, and a meat-focused kappo restaurant on the 3rd floor.
This kappo restaurant on the 3rd floor offers an intimate dining experience. Guests can watch expert butchery up close from six counter seats or enjoy a leisurely meal in a semi-private room for up to four. Each dish is crafted as part of a refined course menu.
The meal culminates in sukiyaki, prepared right before your eyes: a perfect showcase of both the art of beef and the essence of sukiyaki.
Meat lovers eagerly awaited the opening of Yoshizawa’s restaurant, and now, at last, this exceptional beef is available to the public. With its growing reputation, securing a reservation will only become more challenging.
