Innovative, Italian Cuisine
Innovative cuisine at an Osaka hideaway restaurant which patrons wanted to keep secret.
- Open for Lunch
The Nishitenma district in Osaka. This area has long been home to many law offices, and more recently, renowned Michelin-starred restaurants have also began to congregate here.
One of the first to open in this neighborhood and captivate its patrons is Ristorante Due Fiori. Opening in 2016, this innovative cuisine restaurant is operated by Chef Teppei Tsuchiya, who trained and served for 18 years as head chef of “PONTE VECCHIO,” a very famous Italian restaurant amongst the Kansai region.
Ristorante Due Fiori is located on the first floor of its building, but it does not have a very prominent presence which be seen or felt from the outside. It has a true feel of a “hidden gem”, with the entrance once accessible through a narrow path alongside the building. But once inside, its space is both elegant and comforting, combining to create a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.
Chef Tsuchiya’s calm personality is reflected in his cuisine, where a delicate and meticulous approach highlights robust flavors.
Using local Japanese ingredients, he explores innovative techniques to express the unique “umami” which Japan has come to be known for worldwide. His simple yet assertive dishes in the course menu are well-balanced, with each dish making a distinct impression on those who eat it, and the pace at which it is served is also just right.
Ristorante Due Fiori is a hidden gem which patrons might prefer to keep a secret to themselves, but it is also a restaurant which you feel compelled to share with others, so that they too can also enjoy its wonderful cuisine and atmosphere. Please come and enjoy this hidden retreat.
