Founded in 1939 by its first proprietress, Ms. Machi Fukuda, who named it “Fukudaya” with the hope that guests would feel as relaxed as they would in their own home, Fukudaya has become a renowned Japanese restaurant where political figures and prime ministers have held their important meetings and gatherings.
The name “Rosanjin” is often heard in the world of Japanese cuisine. An artist and famed gourmet, Rosanjin believed that “cooking is an art,” extending beyond flavor to include the beauty of the presentation, the vessels, and the atmosphere of the room and garden. He saw dining as a holistic experience for all five senses: sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch, culminating in the harmony of taste and beauty.
Fukudaya embodies this philosophy with its dedication to preserving and advancing Japanese food culture, delivering a complete sensory experience through its cuisine, décor, and hospitality.
The restaurant has earned and maintained two Michelin stars for its exceptional offerings.
Dishes served on Rosanjin-inspired ceramics are sure to stimulate your aesthetic sense, allowing you to fully appreciate the depth of Japanese cuisine. With only four private rooms, each meal promises a serene and unforgettable moment, where you can experience the finest of Japanese hospitality and cuisine.
