In the serene Nihonbashi district, Waki Shun opened in 2023, just a five-minute walk from Nihombashi Mitsukoshi. This refined space offers a tranquil retreat from Tokyo’s bustle.

At the helm, Chef Shun Miyahara trained under Toru Okuda at Ginza Kojyu (2 Michelin stars) before leading Ginza Okuda and Paris Okuda, gaining global recognition as a Michelin Selected chef.

The restaurant’s name, penned by Chef Okuda, blends “和 Wa” (harmony), “氣 Ki” (spirit), and “旬 Shun” (seasonality): a tribute to both Japanese tradition and the chef himself. Its blue and wisteria hues reflect water and Nihonbashi’s historic charm.

With experience in Paris, Chef Miyahara passionately shares Japanese cuisine in English and French, pairing his creations exclusively with Japanese wines.

The eight-seat counter offers an intimate experience, where guests can savor authentic flavors and engage with the chef: a must-visit for lovers of Japanese gastronomy.
