Previously located in Kobe and Nishinomiya—where it was consistently one of the hardest reservations to secure—the restaurant moved to Osaka in 2023 through a meaningful connection.
Chef Akutsu, imposing in appearance yet remarkably gentle in his craft, captivates guests with dishes that balance boldness and delicate refinement. His commitment to quality is unwavering: vegetables arrive directly from producers in Hokkaido and Kyoto, Kobe Beef is sourced straight from trusted farms, and seasonal seafood is purchased fresh from the market. At the counter, guests can watch his dynamic, engaging performance as each dish takes shape.
The signature “No-Damage Grilled Kobe Beef” is a standout. Using lean sirloin or tenderloin, the beef is grilled over charcoal with the fat attached, imbuing it with a fragrant aroma. The fat is removed before serving, creating a richly flavorful yet surprisingly light finish—an experience unique to Akutsu.
In a rare gesture for high-end dining, children, including infants in strollers, are welcome, and special dishes can be prepared for them.
