Michelin One Star. Established by the top apprentice who graduated from Osaka's leading sushi restaurant
Named after himself, Chef Jiro Murakami established his own restaurant after being recognized as the top apprentice of and graduating with honors from Osaka’s leading sushi restaurant, Saeki. This Michelin 1 star restaurant uses only the best “shari” (sushi rice) grown in the strictest of conditions and cooked to the perfect firmness in red vinegar. The fresh seasonal “neta” (toppings) he serves are procured from sources he cultivated personally and not from routes he used during his days at Saeki. Guests can taste the perfect balance between “neta” and “shari” while enjoying the skillful and lively performance of the chef’s knife.
The L-shaped counter inside allows guests to observe the chef at a comfortable distance and hostess is likewise always full of cheerful conversation.
