- Open for Lunch
The flagship restaurant, Shinbashi Kanetanaka, is counted among Japan’s three greatest “ryoteis”, operating under a strict referral-only policy.
Esteemed by the nation’s top political and financial figures, international dignitaries, renowned artists, and Kabuki actors, it remains one of Japan’s most exclusive dining establishments, difficult to make a reservation at even for Japanese patrons.
Kanetanaka An was established as a counter-style kaiseki restaurant, designed for guests to purely savor the refined flavors of Shinbashi Kanetanaka in a more accessible setting.
Each morning, the chef personally selects the finest seasonal ingredients from the market, crafting an exquisite kaiseki course which highlights the natural beauty of vegetables, seafood, and Japan’s changing seasons. While Japanese cuisine naturally pairs with sake, guests can also enjoy a curated selection of wine from Ginza Okahan Main Branch, making it a delight for wine enthusiasts as well.
A variety of à la carte dishes are also available, offering the perfect opportunity for an additional indulgence after the course meal.
At the counter, guets can witness the artistry of the chefs as they prepare each dish with precision. To experience the century-old culinary legacy of this celebrated ryotei, both in flavor and in spectacle, is an invitation few can resist.
