Originally opening in a back street of Roppongi in 2003 as small Japanese restaurant, Nihonryori RyuGin rose to fame receiving the prestigious honor of being listed in the Michelin Guide as 3-Stars in 2012, and has continued to receive distinguished accolades of being selected in the top 10 as one of “Asia’s Best Restaurants” and one of the “World’s Best Restaurants” for consecutive years.

Owner and Chef Seiji Yamamoto is a culinary genius and luminary, ranked in the Top 10 in the World’s Top 100 chefs. After more than 15 years of working in Roppongi, Chef Yamamoto finally found the perfect location ideal for Ryugin in 2018, relocating to that space which was 3 times the size of the former; on the 7th floor of luxury development “Tokyo Midtown Hibiya”.

Chef Seiji Yamamoto’s Omakase showcases the magnificence of Japanese ingredients at the peak of each season, and shares the spirit of “Wa” (the Japanese concept of harmony). Using a rich abundance of Japanese produce, the temperature, aromas and umami of each dish are carefully measured to create an atmosphere in where people can come together with a mutual love of food and enjoyment of Japanese cuisine.

We highly recommend paying Nihonryori Ryugin a visit in order to experience the colorful masterpieces of Japanese Kaiseki it presents. It is a truly unforgettable experience which is not to be missed by any food lover.
