Founded in 1856, Shimogamo Saryo is located near the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Shimogamo Shrine. As a renowned Kyoto ryotei, the restaurant is committed to sharing Kyoto’s unique culture and beauty with the world. Known for its meticulously crafted dishes, elegant spaces, and heartfelt omotenashi (hospitality), it earned a Michelin star in the 2021 guide.

Expanding its presence, Shimogamo Saryo has newly opened “Kappo Ryotei Ginza Shimogamo Saryo Higashi no Hanare” on the 11th floor of Tokyu Plaza Ginza. The concept blends Kyoto’s timeless elegance with Tokyo’s contemporary energy, offering a dining experience that merges tradition with modern creativity.

Guests entering the Ginza location are welcomed by an open counter for casual dining, while the exclusive “Higashi no Hanare” offers private rooms and a hidden counter for reservation-only guests. These Kyoto-inspired private spaces, with views of Ginza beyond shoji screens, create a serene, yet urban experience.

Enjoy the exquisite taste of Kyoto’s long-standing culinary traditions in Tokyo’s Ginza at Shimogamo Saryo Higashi no Hanare, where Kyoto’s refined flavors meet Tokyo’s vibrant cityscape.
