In the heart of Ginza, Ginza Okahan Honten stands as a celebrated specialty meat restaurant with a rich history.
Its founder, originally from Matsusaka, Mie Prefecture, opened the establishment to bring the flavors of his hometown to Tokyo. Since then, these unchanging, time-honored flavors have earned a loyal following across generations.
While Matsusaka beef remains a signature offering, the restaurant’s expert selection now includes the finest Black Wagyu beef. For an authentic Ginza Okahan experience, sukiyaki and shabu-shabu are the top choices, though the restaurant’s charcoal-grilled steak is also a standout choice. Each cut is hand-prepared with precision, ensuring the meat retains its natural texture and flavor: enhancing the umami-rich red meat and the delicate melt of the fat.
The charcoal-grilled steak offers versatility, whether thinly sliced for a melt-in-your-mouth experience or thicker cuts for a satisfying bite. Additional orders are always welcome, so guests can indulge as they please.
For a more private setting, rooms for 2 to 10 guests are available, but the main dining area, where guests can witness the culinary artistry firsthand, is highly recommended.
As an establishment operated by one of Japan’s premier culinary houses, Ginza Okahan Honten offers a refined ambiance, exceptional service, and an inviting atmosphere, all in the heart of Ginza.
