Located along Kyoto’s historic Kamo River, the Ponto-cho area is filled with the charm of old Kyoto. As you stroll its narrow, stone-paved alleys, you’ll find Houshoan, a creative Japanese restaurant specializing in seasonal kaiseki dishes and a famous boiled tofu kaiseki course. With floor-to-ceiling glass windows on one side, Houshoan offers breathtaking nighttime views of the Kamo River.
From May to the end of September, guests can also enjoy “Yuka,” Kyoto’s tradition of riverside terrace dining.
For an unforgettable steak experience in Kyoto, Kyoshikian is an ideal choice. This exclusive teppanyaki restaurant, and sister to Houshoan, serves only the finest A4 and A5 Kuroge Wagyu beef.
