Passed down for 3 generations, the owner Kenichi Fujiwara decided to turn the Japanese inn into a Japanese restaurant and spent two years rebuilding it into Sukiya-zukuri architecture, and re-opened as “Komago”, a Japanese restaurant. In the spirit of Japanese tea tradition, everything from the residence, garden, atmosphere, dishes the cuisine is served on, the way the dishes are served, and the “shitsurai”, is very carefully thought of and expressed.

Hideki Takayama is the famed Japanese chef who took 5th place in the 2015 Bocuse d’Or international cooking competition (commonly known as the “Culinary Olympics), as well as 7th place in 2019.
He also holds the remarkable accomplishment of being the only Asian to be a two-time winner of the Bocuse d’Or Asia-Pacific competition in 2014 and 2018.
In October 2022, he moved his location from the upscale residential area of Ashiya to downtown Kobe-Sannomiya and opened the French restaurant “entre nous,” a name which means “a secret place only for us.”

Chef Takayama previously earned a Michelin star at PARIS 1930 DE HIDEKI TAKAYA, a restaurant in Taiwan where he served as the head chef and his cuisine is also served in flight of the ANA airline, and his menu takes pride in being comprised of ingredients centered around those home-grown in Japan as well those he personally curates and selects.
He also showcases Japanese culture by using dishes and cutlery made by Japanese artists and featuring the terroir of Japan that can only be expressed on this island nation. For beverages, he has an extensive wine list with around 7,000 bottles, including vintages, which he matches with his cuisine. Non-alcoholic options include Taiwan tea, which he personally has a deep connection with.
The restaurant features a U-shaped counter with 16 seats that exudes elegance and sophistication, reminiscent of a nobleman’s dining table, and also has a private room. Chef Takayama hopes that guests will experience the fusion of Japanese cuisine and the world through all their senses and enjoy the most luxurious dining experience at his restaurant.
