Since 2014, Jiki Miyazawa has continuously held a Michelin star.
Named after its founder, the restaurant was the first in the expanding Miyazawa group, later joined by Godan Miyazawa and Doppo—both also Michelin starred establishments. The evolution of the brand shows no sign of slowing down.
When Jiki Miyazawa was still the only restaurant, Chef Masato Miyazawa (now head chef of Doppo) deeply impressed a young chef, Izumi, who requested to apprentice under him. Under Chef Izumi’s leadership, the restaurant flourished even further.
After Chef Izumi went on to open MUBE, his former apprentice Chef Satoshi Toyo became head chef, later leading Godan Miyazawa.
Today, Chef Hiroyuki Motomura has taken the helm at Jiki Miyazawa, carrying forward the collective legacy of its past chefs.
Through this lineage, Jiki Miyazawa has preserved its traditions while strengthening its core philosophy: “Ingredients are life. Not a single part should ever be wasted”. Each dish, crafted with uncompromising care, is delicate, thoughtful, and deeply flavorful.
Whether you are new to Japanese cuisine or well-versed in it, Jiki Miyazawa promises both discovery and inspiration with every visit.
