La BOMBANCE is an innovative Japanese restaurant which has been awarded a Michelin star for 10 consecutive years since 2008, frequented by celebrities and professional athletes.

Chef/ Owner Nobu Okamoto grew up in a sushi restaurant family in Niigata Prefecture, where he watched his family delight and entertain guests with their cooking. This upbringing naturally led him to pursue a career as a chef.

He polished his skills at a renowned Japanese restaurant in Hibiya before joining the Japanese cuisine division of a prestigious hotel in Tokyo. There, he prepared traditional Japanese dishes while immersing himself in the techniques and ingredients of French cuisine, working alongside French chefs.

Chef Okamoto later joined Fukudaya, a celebrated Japanese restaurant in Tokyo that consistently earned two Michelin stars. At Fukudaya, he perfected his craft, mastering the finest techniques of Japanese cuisine and the art of presenting food with elegance.

In 2004, he opened La BOMBANCE as his own expression of culinary creativity. He chose the name, meaning “feast” in French, to reflect his mission of creating joy through food. Chef Okamoto embraces the Japanese spirit of sourcing the best ingredients directly from nature and crafting dishes that thrill and surprise diners.

At La BOMBANCE, his philosophy shines. The menu pairs traditional Japanese dishes, such as a classic soup course, with bold creations that blend French or Italian influences, always finishing with a distinctly Japanese flavor. The result is a vibrant and unforgettable dining experience.

Tucked away in a quiet area with no nearby restaurants and marked by a small, unassuming sign, La BOMBANCE remains a hidden treasure. Inside, a bright, lively atmosphere welcomes guests, where the staff’s enthusiasm mirrors the diners’ enjoyment. Without a doubt, it is a culinary gem that lives up to its reputation.
