Established in 1850, Ippoh is a highly-acclaimed and historic tempura restaurant in Osaka.

It is famous to playing host to heads of state from various countries who have graced its tempura counters, each which are situated in its comfortable private rooms.

All the delicious nuances of the tempura cuisine can be enjoyed with the Matsu, Tosa-bori, and Edo-bori courses, with guests first enjoying appetizers and sashimi in the zashiki-style private rooms and then moving to the counter seating in the private rooms for the main offerings of tempura. The atmosphere of the interior is one of luxury and filled with beauty of traditional Japanese architecture.

The tempura is fried to perfection by experienced chefs in fresh safflower oil. Guests are sure to enjoy “tempura without oiliness” made from seasonal ingredients in a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere.

The Chayamamachi branch of Ippoh is located on the 2nd floor of “Hotel Hankyu International”, which has received one of the highest rankings among hotels in Japan by the famous hotel guide “Hotel Guides Worldwide.”
