The world-famous “Sushi Watanabe” in Sapporo is known for its deep love of Hokkaido and its local sushi. They use ingredients unique to Hokkaido and continue to offer sushi that cannot be experienced in Osaka or Tokyo, presenting their own “Watanabe-style” Ezo-Mae sushi every single day. Chef Watanabe himself is dedicated to training young sushi chefs and “Sushi Yatsuha Maruyama” is a restaurant located near Maruyama Park where former apprentices trained by Chef Watanabe showcase their skills.
They offer sushi of exceptional quality at a reasonable price range. Whether you are new to sushi or an experienced sushi lover, you will be satisfied with their offerings. The name “Yatsuha” derives from the concept of veins spreading throughout the a leaf, symbolizing the wish for Chef Watanabe’s passion to be spread to every corner of Japan.
Each sushi piece is meticulously crafted with care, displaying both beauty and depth of flavor. The clean and inviting restaurant has a seating capacity of 10 at the counter and also has six private rooms.
